I’ve seen that 170H ad before, and I am curious about the original source, I’ve never found any data. I know a trickle of MBs came stateside during the 30s, but only higher models. The address is correct for the MB distributor at the time. I wonder if one of those cars was actually sold in NA.

the best idea would be to contact Mercedes in Germany and ask them if their records show how many (if any) were exported to the USA?

If the records survived - I think Sindelfingen was nearly leveled via WW2 bombing, I suspect some of this would be hard to find.
The MBCA might also know (I am a member) - something to think about.
